Control of Ecto-parasites

1. Move animals away from pasture which have many ecto-parasites such as ticks in it.
2. Keep good hygiene and sanitation clean animal houses regularly.
3. Keep infected animals away from clean ones
4. Dipping and spraying of infected animals with insecticidal solution
5. Other methods such as oily dressing, salt and tick grease can be used
6. Handpick visible ecto-parasites from the body of the host animal and destroy such parasites
7. Keep boshes away from animal houses

Control of Endo-parasites

1. Feed animals properly.
2. Manage pasture to reduce the number of worm larvae on it.
3. Keep young animals away from older ones
4. Employ the use of anthelmintic (drugs)
5. Keep good hygiene and sanitation clean animal houses regularly
6. Avoid using contaminated food and water
7. Keep boshes away from animal houses
