- Dipping and spraying of infected animals with insecticidal solution
- Other methods such as oily dressing, salt and tick grease can be used
- Handpick visible ecto-parasites from the body of the host animal and destroy such parasites
- Keep boshes away from animal houses

- Feed animals properly.
- Manage pasture to reduce the number of worm larvae on it.
- Keep young animals away from older ones
- Employ the use of anthelmintic (drugs)
- Keep good hygiene and sanitation clean animal houses regularly
- Avoid using contaminated food and water
- Keep boshes away from animal houses
