- There will be outbreaks of waterborne diseases e.g. typhoid fever, and dysentery.
- There will be a shortage of water for domestic and industrial use.
- Shortage of farm products.

Noise pollution has the following effects on personal health and the environment:
- It causes high blood pressure or hypertension.
- It brings about anxiety.
- It can create intra-home conflicts and enmity.
