Marketing Principles
The following principles should be considered when buying or selling:
- Do not buy or sell on credit: Buying on credit results in the un-noticed accumulation of financial charges.
- Compare values: Do not buy in just one shop rather compare prices in different stores and buy where items are cheaper and good.
- Buy on the basis of intended use: this means buying what you think you will use.
- Do not over pay for convenience: convenience foods are more expensive than raw foods and one may not even get all the necessary nutrients from convenient foods.
- Buy in bulk: This will save time, money and energy of going to the market every day.
- Buy food in season: It is cheaper to buy food in season than out of season.
- The market place should be accessible i.e. there must be free entering and free exit.
- Get adequate information about the market, goods and services.
