MARKING SCHEME FOR JSS1 CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS STUDIES (CRS) FIRST TERM EXAMINATION

SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST

1. (a) According to the first account of creation, outline what God created on each day and state what He did on the seventh day.

Day 1: God created the light. (Gen. 1: 1 – 5)
Day 2: God created the firmament I.e the heavens, the sky and the clouds. (Gen. 1: 6 – 8)
Day 3: God created the seas, land and vegetation: trees, grasses and other plants. (Gen 1: 9 – 13)
Day 4: God created the heavenly bodies – the sun, moon, stars and other planets.
Day 5: God created all kinds of sea creatures such as fishes, whales and every kind of bird were created.
Day 6: God created all kinds of land animals like the elephant, the lion, cows, sheep, goats, etc. Finally, God created man in his own image and likeness.
