Meaning of Employment

The term occupation refers to as any legitimate activity that someone does for a living i.e the work people do, example include teaching, barbing, trading etc.

Definition of Occupation

The word occupation has received different definitions from scholars.

Occupation was defined by an author as any legal, economic and commercial activities engaged in by people of legal age in order to earn a living and satisfy their needs. Another author defined occupation as any economic or productive activity which people engage in to create and procure goods and services in order to make a living.

Occupation can be categorized into industrial, commercial and services.
