Meaning of Intonation
Intonation is the variation or change in the pitch level of the voice. This is noticeable in rising and falling tones during communication.
Types of Tones
There are two major tones, these are:
Falling tone (➘) and rising tone (➚)
Our emphasis for now is on the falling tone (➘).
The Falling Tone
This falling tone is used in the following situations.
