1. Disgraceful Outcome of Pride

As the saying goes,” pride goes before a fall”. King Jovinian is brought down from his high tower of pride by God almighty. He had earlier mused on his bed how great he was and wondered why he was not God while he lived. God heard it and set to humble the so proud king. The man who was born in royalty, who had never seen affliction, found himself naked, and hungry in the course of the day. All the people he had ever helped and even people in his own household denied him. He became a castaway and a destitute begging for food and clothes until he came to himself and acknowledged God as the only saviour.
