Transposition from One Clef into Another
Transposition from one clef into another is known as clef transposition. When transposing a given music from one clef into another, you have to be guided by the middle C which links the treble and bass staves. For example:
From the great stave, you will always be accurate in your transposition from one clef to another, provided you are sure of the letter names of the lines and spaces of the treble and bass staves separately and those of the great staff.
Secondly you must make sure that the melody you have produced as your answer does not sound two octave lower or higher as the case may be. Finally, it is necessary to point out that a line in the treble stave is always a space in the bass stave and vice versa.
