- Prepare timber to length, width and thickness.
- Make the template for the project. This can be made of paper or cardboard. Here your drawing skill is required.
- Transfer template shape to wood.
- Remove waste with coping-saw.
- Accurately shape with spokeshave.
- Smoothly with glass paper, medium, then fine.
- Drill hole for hook.

- Straight peen hammer
- Pincer
- Saws
- Jack plane
- Spokeshave
- Try square
- Small bradawl
- Twist drill, etc.
