What are the differences between bases and alkali?

Bases are divided onto two the ones that are soluble in water and the ones that are not. The ones that are soluble in water are called alkali

Base is a chemical which will react with an acid to form a salt and water only ,while alkali is a water-soluble base

Alkaline is a basic hydroxide which is soluble in water

Very easy.All alkali are bases but not all bases are alkalis
