replied 3 years ago Step 1 The two sides we know are Opposite (300) and Adjacent (400).
Step 2 SOHCAHTOA tells us we must use Tangent.
Step 3 Calculate Opposite/Adjacent = 300/400 = 0.75.
Step 4 Find the angle from your calculator using tan-1

The angle of elevation is angle formed on the horizontal ground from a point of looking upwards

If a person stands and looks up at an object, the angle of elevation is the angle between the horizontal line of sight and the object. If a person stands and looks down at an object, the angle of depression is the angle between the horizontal line of sight and the object.
