As the topic says, I need a very simple explanation of the theory of general relativity by Albert Einstein. Please assume I am a six-year-old child and break down the concept for me.

Albert Einstein, in his theory of special relativity, determined that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and he showed that the speed of light within a vacuum is the same no matter the speed at which an observer travels, according to Wired.

The theory of relativity usually encompasses two interrelated theories by Albert Einstein: special relativity and general relativity. … It introduced concepts including spacetime as a unified entity of space and time, relativity of simultaneity, kinematic and gravitational time dilation, and length contraction.
