ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ¼ mark each = 5 marks

 

SECTION B: ESSAY

ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 2½ marks each = 5 marks

1.(a) Farm animals are animals that are reared by man for different purposes such as food supply, income generation, clothing materials, etc, goats, sheep, rabbits, poultry, cattle, etc. 

(1 mark)

1.(b) (i) Work animal

(ii) Pet animal

(iii) Aquatic animal

(iv) Poultry animal

(v) Dairy animal

(vi) Guard animal

(1½ mark)

TOTAL = 2½ MARKS

 

2.(a) The factors affecting the distribution of livestock in Nigeria are;

(i) Food/Availability of good pasture

(ii) Climate

(iii) Pests and diseases

(iv) Religious beliefs

(v) Cultural beliefs

(vi) Social beliefs

2.(b)

(i) They are well built with good body conformation.
