SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST

1. (a) Define drug.

Drugs can be defined as any substance that can affect the body positively or negatively.

NB: Other relevant definitions should be scored.

1. (b) Enumerate three (3) control measures of water pollution.

There should be awareness of the dangers of pollution which is the most important method of reducing pollution.
Treating sewage in sewage plant before emptying the effluent into the river and sea.
Maximum precautions must be taken to prevent oil spillage.
Building nuclear waste silos for storing radioactive wastes so that groundwater does not become contaminated.
Treating industrial wastes before emptying them into water bodies.
Do not allow engine oil, kerosene, or petrol to get into freshwater supply.
