1.(b) Uses of Plants

  • Plants provide food.
  • Provision of materials for shelter.
  • Used in medicine, in production of drugs.
  • Plant is used for beautifying our environment.
  • Plant leaves serve as windbreaks and are also used to control soil erosion.
  • Plants release oxygen to the atmosphere through photosynthesis.
  • It serves as a source of income for the people and the nation.

Uses of Animals

  • Animals serve as food for man.
