ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 2½ marks each = 5 marks in total

1.(a) Define repentance.  (1 mark)

Repentance is the act of regretting or feeling sorry or ashamed for any wrong done. 

(Any relevant/related definition = 1 mark)

(b) Highlight three consequences of lack of repentance.  (1½ marks)

  • Death 
  • Lack of revelation
  • Destruction
  • Incurring the wrath of God
  • Unfulfilled purpose of God for one’s life
  • Lack of favor before God and man

(Any 3 points at ½ mark each = 1½ marks)

TOTAL = 2½ MARKS

 

2.(a) Mention two major characters that are involved in the story of King David’s call to repentance.  (1 mark)

  • David
  • Uriah
  • Bathsheba
  • Nathan
  • Joab

(Any two = 1 mark)

(b) Explain how the people of Nineveh repented of their sins.
