SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST

1. Identify hygiene practices during menstruation.

Hygiene practices during menstruation include the following:

Have frequent baths during menstruation at least twice a day.
Wrap the soiled pad in an old newspaper. Put in a refuse bin or pit toilet or burn it. Do not throw the used pad into the water system or water closet toilet.
Change the sanitary pad as often as three times a day to prevent bad odour.
Use good absorbent sanitary pads or towels and pants. These will prevent your clothes from being stained by blood.
Wash your hands with soap and water after each change of pad.
Use a little perfumes and deodorants to prevent bad odour, etc.

TOTAL = 2½ MARKS
