SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ½ mark each = 30 marks
SECTION B: ESSAY
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 10 marks each = 30 marks
1. Explain five (5) areas of Home Economics.
- Foods and Nutrition: This deals with the study of foods and their nutrients.
- Clothing and Textiles: It deals with designing, sewing and selection of clothes. It also includes personal hygiene.
- Consumer Education: It teaches people how to make wise decisions in selecting or buying goods and services.
- Housing and interior decoration: It deals with the provision and decoration of the house.
- Family living: It deals with how people live in the family.
- Child development and care: It deals with how children grow and develop.
(Any 5 at 2 marks each = 10 marks)
TOTAL = 10 MARKS
2. (a) Identify five (5) causes of body odour.
- Poor hygiene during menstruation
- Accumulation of dirt on the body
- Stale perspiration
- Failure to have a bath regularly
- Wearing dirty clothes
- Using body care products that smell, etc.
