ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ¼ mark each = 5 marks
SECTION B: ESSAY
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 10 ÷ 2 = 5 marks
1.(a) NOTE: Each correct labelling is (\(\frac{1}{2}\) mark \(× 5\))
(b) \(r = \frac{D}{2} = \frac{14}{2} = 7cm\) (½ mark)
\(A = πr^2\) (½ mark)
\(= \frac{22}{7} × 7 × 7\) (1 mark)
\(= 154cm^2\) (½ mark)
2.(a)(i) Square has four lines of symmetry + any of its other properties. (1 mark)
(ii) Trapezium has no line of symmetry + any of its other properties. (1 mark)
(iii) Rectangle has two lines of symmetry. (1 mark)
2.(b) The triangle is an equilateral triangle and it has equal sides. (1 mark)
Perimeter \(= 6cm × 3\) sides (½ mark)
\(= 18cm\).
