SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST

ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ¼ mark each = 5 marks

 

SECTION B: ESSAY

ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 5 marks each

1. (a) Physical education can be defined as the education that deals with the all-round development of an individual through carefully selected physical activities.

It can also be described as an integral part of the total process of education that make use of selected and properly conducted physical activities in the development of the whole individual.

(Any of these definitions = 1 mark)

1. (b)  Branches of health education are;

(i) Drug education

(ii) Sex education

(iii) Consumer health

(iv) Personal and community health

(v) Personal hygiene

(vi) First Aid

(Any 2 at ½ mark each = 1 mark)

1. (c) (i) Physical development

(ii) Mental development

(iii) Social development

(iv) Emotional development

(v) Skill development

(Any 3 at 1 mark each = 3 marks)

TOTAL = 5 MARKS
