1.(a) \(1\) bird costs \($240\)
Actual cost of \(360\) birds \(= 360 × $240\)
\(= $86400\)
(1 mark)
1.(b) Estimated cost of \(360\) birds \(= 400 × $200\)
\(= $80000\)
(1 mark)
TOTAL = 2 MARKS
2.(a) \(50\) bags of cement \(= 2.5\) tonnes
\(1\) bag of cement \(= 2.5\) divided by \(50\)
(1 mark)
\(= 0.05\) ton

But \(1\) tonne is \(1000kg\)
(1 mark)
Therefore \(0.05 = 0.05 × 1000\)
\(= 50kg\)
(2 marks)
