SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ½ mark each = 30 marks
SECTION B: ESSAY
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 10 marks each = 30 marks
1.(a) State five (5) importance of Social Studies.
- It gives us knowledge of our environment.
- It checks our negative attitudes towards our environment.
- It makes us understand our social system and how the negative/positive attitude of man influences the environment.
- It gives us the knowledge of other cultures to have a better relationship.
- It makes us understand that we have contributions to make towards the sustenance of our society.
- It is a subject that teaches us to understand the customs and values of our society.
- It helps us to make rational decisions for the common good of all.
- It instills in us the importance of cooperation in our society.
- Social Studies inculcates in us the ability to be good citizens.
(Award 1 mark for each point that is correctly stated.
