SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ¼ mark each = 5 marks
SECTION B: ESSAY
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 2½ marks each = 5 marks
1. (a) Differences between Monocotyledons and Dicotyledons
(Any 3 points at ½ mark each for a total of 1½ marks)
1. (b) Forage crops are grasses and legumes grown mainly for feeding farm animals especially ruminant animals e.g. cattle, sheep and goat. They can be served to farm animals in the form of hay, silage, straw or soilage.
(1 mark for a correct definition of forage crops)

2. Two (2) examples each for the following crops:
(Any one point at ½ mark each for 2½ marks)
