SECTION A: OBJECTIVE TEST
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: ¼ mark each = 5 marks
SECTION B: ESSAY
ALLOCATION OF MARKS: 2½ marks each = 5 marks
1.(a)(i) Herbivores
Examples are cattle, sheep, goat, horse, camel, donkey and rabbit.
1.(a)(ii) Omnivores
Examples are pig, guinea-pig, and poultry birds.
(1 mark)
1.(b) Ruminant animals are animals that have complex stomachs and chew the cud (regurgitate) examples cattle, sheep, goat, camel, etc.
(1 mark for definition and ½ mark for the 2 examples = 1½ marks)
TOTAL = 2½ MARKS
2.(a) Farm animals are used as food, security, clothing materials, sports, income, source of employment.
(1½ marks)
2.(b) Landrace, West African dwarf, Duroc Jersey, Large black
(1 mark)
