Paul’s Second Missionary Journey (Acts 15:36-38.)
After they had stayed in Antioch of Syria for a while, Paul told Barnabas that they should visit the churches they established during their first missionary journey. Barnabas wanted John Mark to go with them but Paul refused because John Mark left them at Perga in Pamphilia without finishing the first missionary journey with them.
There was a sharp disagreement between them hence, Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed off to Cyprus while Paul took Silas with him and went to Syria and Cilicia. In the second missionary journey, Paul and Silas went to Derbe and Lystra. In Lystra, they met Timothy whose mother was a Jewess but his father a Greek. They integrated him into their evangelistic team but to avoid the criticism of the Jews, who knew his background, they decided to circumcise him.
From Lystra, Paul and his team travelled through the regions of Phrygia, Galatia, Mysia, Bithynia without stopping because the Holy Spirit did not allow them.
