Fasting and Prayer

During fasting, Christians are not to frown, look dejected or pale which makes way for questions from neighbours; rather a happy countenance should be seen and our body kept clean. People who fast looking dejected, miserable are referred to as hypocrites before God.

Prayer as a means of communicating with God provides us the opportunity of presenting our request with faith of being answered. Prayers in faith backed up with fasting makes efficient and speedy answer. When we pray, we should not use our prayer as a demonstration of our holiness and thereby attract the attention of men and their praises. Quiet prayers in faith attract God’s attention and blessing. Christ gave his disciples a prayer pattern that signifies our prayer is to start with adoration to God “Our Father who hath in Heaven Hallowed be thy Name”.

Love of Money

Money is a legal tender.
