OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

- identify odd and even numbers up to \(100\).
PERIODS 5 and 6:
- arrange numbers in ascending order.
PERIODS 7 AND 8
- arrange numbers in descending order.

PRESENTATION
STEP 1: Revision
Teacher asks pupils to recite the \(2\) and \(3\) times table.
STEP 2: Introduction
Teacher asks pupils to skip count in \(2\)’s starting from 0 and then again starting from \(1\).
STEP 3: Development Content
PERIODS 1 – 4
- Teacher explains the meaning of odd and even numbers.
- Teacher writes some numbers on the board and asks pupils to identify the odd and even numbers.
