Meaning of Unity
Unity is the coming together of different people to form a common force aimed at achieving a common goal. It is achieved when people of diverse background come together not minding political, socio-cultural or ethnic difference to form a force and do things together.
Causes of Disunity
Disunity is the opposite of unity. It means the inability to come together. The causes include:
Cultural differences, religious differences, selfishness, money, lack of tolerance, communication gap, divergent views and opinion
- Cultural differences: Anybody who believes so much in his own culture and sees nothing good in other people’s culture is invariably going to be in disunity with such people.
- Religious differences: Christians believes in Jesus as the messiah and the Muslim faithful believe that prophet Mohammed as the only Messiah sent by Allah. On the contrary the traditional worshipers believe in the gods they serve.
